We’re Back for 2026!
A new year is a natural opportunity to pause, reflect, and gently reconnect with what supports our health and wellbeing. We hope you have enjoyed a restful and refreshing Christmas break. We have returned feeling recharged, grateful, and excited for the year ahead.
Looking back on 2025, we feel incredibly honoured to have supported so many people across Taranaki. We shared in milestones both big and small — returning to work after injury, managing ongoing back pain, rebuilding strength and confidence during pregnancy and postpartum recovery, navigating menopause transition, and simply learning how to recover, breathe well, and move with more ease & freedom. Whatever your reason for coming through our doors, it has been a privilege to be part of your journey.
As the new year begins, many people start thinking about resetting routines and forming healthier habits. At Physio Pilates NP, our focus has always been on making movement enjoyable, sustainable, and tailored to you. We know that when exercise is something you genuinely enjoy and feel supported in, it becomes far easier to maintain long term. Whether you are returning to exercise after a break, continuing your rehabilitation, or looking to improve strength and confidence in your body, our team is here to support you with care, expertise, and encouragement.
The saying “the heaviest weight in the gym is the front door” often rings true this time of year. Taking that first step is often the hardest part, but once you do, momentum follows. Showing up for yourself, even in small and consistent ways, can have a powerful impact over time.
As we step into 2026, we also encourage a broader view of health and wellbeing. Last year, our team attended the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce Wellness Conference, where nutritionist Claire Turnbull spoke about the importance of taking a holistic approach to wellbeing. She reminded us that health is not just about exercise alone, but about how we balance where we invest our energy across our relationships, personal growth, leisure and hobbies, community involvement, and work. Small, consistent improvements in daily movement, sleep, nourishment, stress management, connection, and sense of purpose can collectively make a meaningful difference in how we feel & ultimately contributes to the multiple facets of our health.
Movement remains a cornerstone of health, and at Physio Pilates NP we understand that how you move every day matters. Our experienced team provides Physiotherapy and clinical Reformer Pilates services in New Plymouth, with a strong focus on women’s health, pelvic floor rehabilitation, and building functional core strength. If you are experiencing ongoing aches or niggles, your back or pelvic pain is not settling, we currently have physiotherapy appointments available and would love to support you.
For those looking for guided movement, our Reformer Pilates classes continue to be suitable for beginners, those returning after injury or surgery, and anyone wanting to move with more confidence and ease. Our Beginner and Restore classes focus on building core muscle balance & strength, improving flexibility and posture, and helping you feel strong and supported in your body. For those needing more targeted support, our Physiotherapist-led Pelvic health Class (running Wednesdays at 11am) or our Back Pain Class (Thursdays @ 5:45pm) provides a safe and nurturing environment to recover from more specific issues.
New for 2026, we are introducing our 12-week Back Pain Programme, designed for people who are struggling with managing persistent back pain. This structured approach includes comprehensive physiotherapy assessments, guided progression with a Physio at Week 1, 6 & 12, alongside 12 reformer classes to help build strength/mobility and confidence with movement.
We are also proud to work within a collaborative Clinic, working alongside Cloe at Holistic Osteopathy, Lee-ana for acupuncture, and massage with Ceilo Wellbeing. This team-based approach allows us to provide well-rounded care and support for rehabilitation, recovery, and overall wellbeing.
To help kick-start the year with motivation and consistency, we are running a New Year, New You Reformer Pilates Challenge throughout February. From the 2nd of February- 2nd of March, those who complete 8 or more Reformer Classes will go into the draw to win a 6 Reformer Pilates Pack. This challenge is not about perfection or pushing harder than feels right, but about building a routine that is realistic, enjoyable, and sustainable. Consistency, even when it feels simple, is where real change happens.
Whatever 2026 brings, we encourage you to keep listening to your body, moving well, and taking small, supported steps toward better health.
Here’s to a strong, supported, and balanced 2026. We’re ready — and we look forward to welcoming you back into the Clinic soon.
